Who cares about making the playoffs?? I mean really, this team has a better shot forming a baseball team and winning the 2013 World Series then they do of even having a sniff of the Cup. Sneaking into 8th place only to lose in 4/5/6 games really doesn't have any appeal to me. We are not the LA Kings, we will not surprise anyone even on the rare sideways chance this team somehow sneaks into the 8th seed. We will simply lose quickly and easily in that 1st round to a vastly superior team and delay the team actually getting good by another 2-3 years.

We haven't been an elite team in almost 25 years, it's been a constant cycle (aside from one miracle run) of either missing the playoffs or sneaking in and losing immediately in the 1st round. I am bloody sick of it. How about we finally start being honest about what this team is, and has been and finally start building from the bottom up? I would have no issue having a garbage team if I could see management's longterm vision coming together. But to continue to be a garbage team simply because our owners and/or President think maybe, just maybe we can get that mythical 8th seed and then, by golly anything can happen (!)...is enough to make me sick.

Any asset over the age of 25 with solid value should be moved ASAP. Kipper, gone. Iggy, gone. Bouw and Gio and Tanguay and Cammy, all gone. Take whatever you can get, stockpile on draft picks and young prospects with upside.

LoL, but who am I kidding? Nothing like that will occur.
