Probably meant the top 5 picks the Flames, so far, are heading for on their own and I would agree with him that trading all of those players would likely equal the Flames finishing in the bottom 5. They may get there even with Iginla, Kipper etc..
I'm fine with the Flames not "blowing it up" because i don't think they need to trade everybody. I too think that if you were to trade Kipper, Iginla, Cammy, maybe jbow depending on the return, and then be smart about things in the offseason they can keep the rest and stil be a competitive team next year and possibly the year after be back in the playoffs. Don't need to get rid of everybody the Flames have collected some nice pieces that can help this team now and over the next several years.
