Of course. Which Flames fan didn't see that coming? Maybe some were reluctant to have him play in the top 4 but he was clearly a top 6 defenseman for the Flames under any circumstances. Yet Hartley felt he should be benched in favour of Butler, Sarich and Smith that first game? Really hope there was some behind the scenes stuff happening or else Hartley is the worst judge of talent in the NHL today.

The guy was playing with Begin and Jackman during that stretch. And again, any mess up sent him to the bench for the remainder of the night, even if it was one of his linemates getting their sticks up. Yesterday he played with Iginla and Hudler. I don't think the benching had anything to do with Cervenka's turn around.
