I'm sure if you watched every d-man close enough last night you'll find a play or two from every one of them that wasn't great, where they made a bad decision or turned the puck over. Worst of them all was Gio.
Butler isn't elite, but last night was a very good game for him. I'm not sure why we're nitpicking one or two turnovers to show he made some bad plays. His good plays outweighed the poor plays by a huge margin.

Ya i will admit its a weird habit i have every season if there is a D man on the Flames that is on my irritated fan radar.
When i go to the games i watch them like a hawk so your right i notice the mistakes more than most probably. For example Wideman who makes his share but i overlook them because of the other positives of his game.
Gio was terrible and has been making bone head plays all season.
As for Butler last night i agree
