I watch via satellite TV feed. There has never been a noticeable delay in the PBP and video, so this all seems strange. I noticed sometimes in highlights that it would happen, but otherwise never.
Also, it's funny that people pipe down the lack of class shown toward SNET after roger comes in here and tells you guys what's up, in his usual respectable way. You can say what you want about them, but those guys work hard each broadcast to bring us our Flames hockey, and I sure like having all 82 games covered, rather than a few years back when the odd game wasn't even broadcasted. Tech issues happen. I'd blame whoever came up with the dumb idea to put the virtual ads behind the nets for any lag time.
If I were to offer my thoughts on the game calling itself though.. I'd admit that i'm really not a fan of Simmer. Being that this is a hockey town, and the average fan's hockey IQ is higher than a lot of other places around the league, I feel we don't need the colour commentating to teach us the game between whistles at an elementary school level. And IMO there's a little too much emphasis on how a player is "feeling" and the mental side of the game. I think that card is a little too overplayed. I wish Charlie would give us a little better insight that is a little less obvious to the viewer, maybe tell us something we don't know. but anyways, that's just my opinion.
