I think teams won't pay a big price to move up, but someone is always willing to jump ahead of someone else to get a player they really want. The new wage scale does make it so that high picks are not given out of line salaries.
Speaking of which....Tyson Jackson restructured his deal today. He was the poster boy of the old wage system. Okay lineman that the team can use but not an all pro. But under his old deal he was paid like a superstar because he was such a high pick and likely to be a cap casualty.
