I've had XM for about six months now, and I wish I had signed up sooner. It's just incredible, and the stuff available to listen to continues to expand. Not only that, but there is some awesome technology coming soon that I am eagerly anticipating.
One thing I did though was sign up in the US with a US address. The CRTC likes to meddle even in satellite radio, and I wanted to avoid that altogether. Doing it that way I am still able to get all the Canadian content which isn't all that impressive anyways.
Edit- But look at Sirius as well, and decide what you want more. Both services are great, it's all about personal preference.
