What about pulling something like this, if we're out of it by the beginning of April:
Kiprusoff to Carolina / Florida / Tampa for a 1st at the deadline. Run with MacDonald / Ramo / Taylor for the rest of the year.
At the deadline or the draft, trade Giordano / Irving to Los Angeles for Bernier / Fobort. That may not even be enough to pry someone like Fobort away, but a big mobile defenseman doesn't come cheap.
