Pretty much copy paste from my previous post, but I think the Islanders would be highly interested as well, especially come off-season.

If Wang really is trying to sell, it would make sense they want to be icing the best team they can in hopes of generating some interest prior to their, very small, move to Brooklyn. And as it stands now, they're playing decent hockey...as far as on the Island goes. However, the biggest obstacle is that they can't spend, not only have they been a salary floor team, but with reports like this indicating that things are going to get messy for them with Nassau and could end up costing them more than anticipated. At the very least in legal fees.

As it stands now their heading into the off-season with their starter, 37 year old Nabokov, being a free agent, DiPietro playing terrible in the A, and Tim Thomas likely being a non-factor. Kiprusoff at 1.5M would be a Godsend to them, a veteran presence to give someone like Poulin or Nilsson a year as backups to really show their worth. As it stands now, they're only a couple points out of the playoffs, terrific goaltending could be that last hurdle to get them over the playoff hump.
