With what has happened over the last couple days, it may be time to deal a guy i didnt think the Flames should ever should have. However, the G market has opened up to sellers, of that there is little doubt.
Personally Im not sure I want to see him go, but there is an argument for it without question.

In Florida it appears that Theodore could be out just as long if not longer with whispers of a torn groin muscle.
Detroit may be looking as Howard has fallen off.
Pittsburgh may see Fleury as the lone obstacle to winning a SC.
Tampa may be looking as well as Lindback has been less than great.
Lots of teams could use a guy like Kipper who has a pretty solid recent past to suggest he can make a difference to a team with aspirations of a long SC run.
With only 1 million owed him after this season, if made available he would be very attractive to many a team iMO...i do wonder though how much desire Calgary management has to make a deal with him....of course if they are still thinking of making the PO's this season then its a moot point.
That being said, I really wonder if the events of last week have them re-thinking their entire approach and maybe go in a new direstion.
