Among the 40 or 50 Feaster threads and the ridiculousness of the Calgary Flames over the last few days, can we take a second and discuss how the Blackhawks start this season is actually pretty remarkable?
Did anyone expect this? I know I didn't. NHL.com has a short video quickly talking about their start, but I haven't seen it mentioned much here even though it is noteworthy.

I think that Mike Johnson there makes a few good points. All things considered in terms of parity of the league, the condensed schedule and travel / back to backs... their ability to not only stay healthy but win a ridiculous amount of games is pretty amazing.
I'm not a big Blackhawks fan but I do think it's impressive and noteworthy enough for a little discussion. What is it about them that makes them just so good? If you compare them to those other teams in history that had such good runs, this team statistically looks like one of the best teams of all time?
