I am not a huge fan of the hate Edwards seems to be getting. The guy spends millions of his hard earned $ to try and give the fans a winner. I don't buy in that he just wants a profit I think he wants a winner and wants it now. The problem is he doesn't understand that is not possible. Assets have been mis-managed draft picks traded or busted and an aging team with one blue chipper in the lineup 2 solid 35 year olds and a bunch of meg depth players. I am happy we have an owner that is willing to spend what it takes to win and doesn't want this fanbase to suffer like Edmonton.
We have it better than the Oilers whose owner has sold the fans on losing=winning and threatening to move the team of the city didn't pony up more tax $.
I am thankful for Edwards but wish he could see the writing on the wall that is obvious to even the most optimistic fan
