I'd still do that Cammalleri trade over and over again. Was an absolutely fantastic trade that we won without question.

Cammalleri back? Check
Cammalleri still has years left and is incredibly talented? Check
Cammalleri is fantastic in the locker room we hope to fill with young talent? Check
Bourque is gone? Check
We have a goalie prospect to potentially replace Kipper? Check

What'd we lose to return all this? Patrick Holland (5G 11A 51GP in the A) and a 2nd (we did also gain a 5th)

IMO... still a fleecing.

I also agree with above. There is no way ROR is a 'win now' player. He's an asset that can contribute immediately and fits right in with the age group we are hoping to attain moving forward. He would have been a long-term pivot (if he ever made it here).

I also don't agree that our 1st is in play. Clearly Feaster saw ROR as a better player than what we'd pick with our (currently) 5th overall. Debatable for sure (I don't agree) but that was his valuation. I definitely don't see this as a sign that he's set to mortgage our future to win now.
