Good write up, these Game Takes are the pretty much the only thing I read on Calgarypuck nowadays. The PGTs are just too much emotion for me to handle. I find these fairly balanced and a bit of a breath of fresh air.
Having said that, that was was a hard game to watch. I knew the Avs were gonna take the game. The Flames never, ever win battles along the boards. The puck always ends up on the stick of the opposition. The Flames certainly have the ability to capitalize on rushes from turnovers, but when it comes to winning battles, the Flames are seriously lacking. I noticed this a lot tonight and also against the Wild.
That Avs tying goal, I think it was Stastny, that was a juicy rebound on a soft wrist shot fromm the blue line that McDonald needs to be better on. Also that Landeskog goal right at the beginning of the third needs to be stopped. However the Flames were outmatched in the second and third period so I can't blame Joey for the loss.
