Why can't Flames have a mix of both offense, and defense? It's either or season in, season out. I don't understand why the team is so atrocious defensively. Not to mention another thing from Keenan time is an PP that can look downright awful multiple times in games.
It takes a very good team to do both which is why only great teams have excellent goal differentials. Though history seems to show that if you can only have one that a strong defensive team that doesn't score much will generally fare better than a team that can score but that plays loose defensively. Uptempo hockey without the elite players to support it is rarely successful.
