The time frame of that study would really help frame things more accurately. If you're including former NFL players from way back it wouldn't surprise me at all. Low salaries when they played plus ongoing medical issues is a recipe for bankruptcy. Are guys who make 7 figures going broke at a 78% clip? I find that a little harder to believe.
