I don't understand this thinking that our goalies are now magically protected because we now have a goon that plays 5 minutes per game in the line-up. So some clown goes out against the first or second line, runs McDonnald and Iginla, Tanguay, Hudler, etc. just stand around and allow it to happen. So you throw McGrattan out on the next shift to beat up the other team's goon? Big deal. What we need is for every player on the team to play with an edge. Some goof decides to run our goalie while the first line is on? Iggy, Stajan or whoever is on the ice need to make it clear that it's not OK.
With all this said, I do like this trade. If our 4th line guys are going to fight, they better be winning those fights. Begin, Jackman and Aliu have shown that they all suck at fighting.
