We used this om vacation when my son was 4 months old last june and it always made me nervous because he would roll over and press his face against the vinyl? Side. Low and behold there was a recall

It's probably low risk but thought I'd give you the heads up. They are incredibly practical. Tw alternative would be as mentioned above a cheap portable crib from wal mart. You can just leave it there.
