You could probably pick up a portable play pen from the local Walmart or Target for less than $60.

We've been using a portable play pen for our little guy since birth, when we go on trips and stuff. Seems to be just fine.

The play pen should come with an upper and lower option, so you don't have to break your back bending over for them.

This is the one we have. After a certain weight, you'll remove the top part, and the child will sleep in the bottom part. Very easy to setup and take down. Takes no more than 30 seconds.
