Stajan has taken the vast majority of faceoffs for the flames this season, 335. The next closes is Iginla at 190 and tanguay after that at 149. Of those 335, 63 have been shorthanded, the next closest is tanguay with 14 draws. He's sitting at 49.6% on the draw in all situations. Steve Begin is 0 for 9 in the faceoff circle short handed, blake comeau 4 and 7.

An injury to Stajan this year could be mean a 15th place finish overall.

Forget Kipper, forget Iginla, forget Bouwmeester. Stajan is the Flames most important player.
