You need to draft good centers it is as simple as that. Centers just are not available in the UFA market or to be had easily through a trade.

Good post. I agree that they are not easy or cheap to acquire at all.
However you will not be successful without good center depth, never mind having only one serviceable center on your entire roster. For a team who constantly talks about winning now and not rebuilding, you can't wait to draft one. It doesn't make sense to try and compete now without making improving that position a mandatory move. Either go get one and try to compete or admit you're rebuilding through the draft...just carrying on knowing your chances of succeeding without one are slim at best doesn't make sense.
I'm not saying I support competing now or rebuilding one way or the other, simply their mandate of winning now doesn't align with their glaring hole at the most important position.
