I think the problem with Andrea's character (I'm not a fan either) is that she has such attitude, but she never really does anything. She just goes from one character to another, telling them how things should be done, and getting mad with the plans at hand. She's always one of the first to open her mouth and take issue, but she doesn't really stand up for anything herself or take any chances or risks. The 'leadership speech' perhaps being the only example.

Of course, there really are people like that in real life. A lot of them. So as far as realism goes, it probably stands.

Though for some reason, probably the writing, which does seem to be lazy in respects to several of the characters, her character doesn't seem complex enough. Very 2 dimensional. It's a lot easier to enjoy a character, in print or film, even if their characteristics would be annoying in real life, when they are believable. There are lots of 'stupid, evil, maddening' characters in fiction that are still fun to watch or read about because they are more believable. Or even if they are 2 dimensional, they perhaps bring some comedic relief to the story. Of course, the Andrea character doesn't do this either.

So we're left with an annoying moody character that isn't much fun to watch.
