I guess Datsyuk played 3rd line time but Zetterberg seemed to be getting a decent amount of ice time and neither saw the 4th line or anything close to an avg of under 10 mins a game.
Also not that suprising that guys on Presidents Trophy/Stanley Cup winning roster might have a tougher time cracking the top 6 than a guy on a non-play-off team desperately in need of developing young guys.

Datsyuk was 9th in ice time with 13:22 in his rookie season. Think I was mistaking the playoffs as regular season as that is when I would have seen Detroit play more. In the playoffs his rookie year Datsyuk only played 10:40/game.
Zetterberg was 5th with 16:11 which I admit I was wrong about, figured that Yzerman, Holmstrom, Larionov, and Lucky Luc would have been ahead of him on the depth chart.
Even with that in mind Baertschi has played 11:36 which would be 9th on the team with the regular players and has only played 4th line one game.
