Jarome Freakin Iginla
I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I felt compelled to create this. I think he has been snake bitten this season and hopefully last night he began to awake. I dont care what his potential worth is in a trade. Iginla has been the heart and sole of this franchise for so long. His contributions both off and on the ice are inmeasurable and there is one point that I think has been overlooked.
Jarome started here. For that reason alone he has loyalty to this team and vice versa. Sure he could be traded away but chances are the kinds of players were hearing in return may or may not stay past whatever their contractual obligation. I think Iginla's role may need to change based on a variety of factors but I still think he is a part of this team till he retires.
I for one hope that he does stay and play out his entire career here and then moves up to the front office in whatever capacity he has the ability to contribute it.
Long live #12, even though lots of people dump on you......I still love ya big guy!!
