The out to lunch comment is a bit insulting, but I suppose the same thing could be said if you think coaches aren't telling their players to go to the net hard every night regardless of who they are playing.
Every game in the league has multiple incidents of goaltender contact.
Just because Pittsburgh and Philly will line brawl afterwards doesn't act as any more of a deterrent than the Flames skating away.
The days of intimidation are long gone in the NHL.
