The lackof any meaningful response to goalie contact has been a problem for a few seasons. I still remember Booth absolutely hammering Kipper in a blow out game, and shortly thereafter there was a scrum a few minutes later with the refs tied up, and Booth and Jackman together seperately. Jackman elected not to hold Booth accountable and has rendered himself usaeless to this team ever since.
It is no surprise whatsoever that opponents believe they can cut through the crease or make contact and see if the refs will make the call or not. It isnt like anyone is going to respond physically or reciprocate against their oalie out there.
Our role players, forwards and defence, are ignoring this aspect of the game and it is costing our team.
The only thing that surprises me is that our coach is whining to the refs rather than challenging his roster to respond.
