Reffing has had some real low points this season. Last night was HIDEOUSLY officiated game. Hopefully they get it back on the rails, but I don't have too much faith. I remember during one of the 24/7 episodes a guy took a solid shot after running the goalie. The ref explained to him that because he ran the goalie, the other guy gets a free shot then he escorted him to the penalty box. This is exactly how this type of situation should be handled, and it provides a sound deterrence. If this is not the standard call by the ref, why not just torpedo ram the goalie once in a while just to keep everyone on their toes?
