I agree with what you're saying.
We'd call it 'Timely Scoring' and the Flames are hit and miss in that category.
The Flames score a lot of goals on backup goalies and when trailing by 2 or more, inflating their goals for statistic.
When it counts though, the flames have an incredibly difficult time putting pucks in the net.
Where's opendoor when you need him? I should make some kind of bat signal for that guy.

They have the talent to score when the space is given to them in open games, but their ability to make space for themselves in tougher games is questionable.
