As far as the console haters, don't buy one if you don't like it. I've got a gaming pc and a ps3, ps3 has the NHL games as well as games like Red Dead Redemption and SSX. I never got the "my system is superior to yours" mentality. It's all about personal preference, do you prefer the big console exlusives/sports games or the high end graphics and modding/graphical capabilities of a pc, go with which one you like. Neither is objectively superior because they both have pros and cons, I can't chill with my buddy and play NHL on my pc but I can't mod the crap out of Fallout 3 on my ps3. That is of course not counting the Wii and the next Xbox if it goes the way of kinect/facebook/twitter/media whatever, those systems are more about gimmicks and grandmas than quality of games. I think people rag on the consoles way too much, without the PS3 the gaming industry wouldn't be nearly as strong, the industry needs the diversity because it shows what works (seamless multiplayer e.g. Dark Souls, completely free mmo e.g. Guild Wars 2) and what doesn't (star was kinect games and pay to win games).
