yeah, this has been an ongoing theme for two months. It started with a new railing from upstairs to downstairs as i didn't like the original one from 1969.

• railing is done now...boy the stairs look like crap

• may as well get radiant floor heating
• one piece toilets exist?! Okay, i'll take one of those
• the old fireplace is going to look out of place since everything else will be new...let's tear down the old one and buy a new one with a new mantel, new rock, etc.
• guess we should get the painters in to paint the basement before the carpet comes
• screw it, new baseboards and door trim all around

yeah, what started out as a $2,000 railing went completely insane. Spending $1500 randomly on a furnace so i'm comfy while i paint my baseboards and they dry nice is a drop in the bucket at this point haha.
