Judging a player's performance from the World Juniors should not be overplayed, not to mention a player's +/-, but what have you seen to make this judgement? Because 2nd round picks make it to the NHL less than 50% of the time and even WJHC don't always make it to the NHL.
I think he likely plays in the NHL and maybe even a good chance he plays for more than a cup of coffee but to talk about a defenseman playing in the NHL at 20 I would say you need to be a top prospect and a sure thing to play in the NHL.
That isn't an insult to Wotherspoon but a comment on how hard it is to play in the NHL as a 20 year old defenseman.
