"Blindside" has no meaning in the hockey lexicon anymore. It never really had any to begin with. Now, any hit where the head is the principal point of contact is a bad hit. Hence the Sedin hit was a bad hit.

Probably true, but thin skull doctrine and all that.
On Torres by the way I maintain that that hit was blown way out of proportion and the suspension that followed was ridiculous. 20 games for the stretcher alone.
