Put it in reverse...... maybe the Flyers would keep 2-3 m of Briere's salary for the next 2 years and then would the Flames want to give them baertschi or the 2013 first round pick.
so the Flames get Briere at say 4 M for the next 2 years... (still can't afford him). Of course the Flames would not make this deal..... Why would Philly do an equivalent reverse trade?
