Their speed in the neutral zone allowed them to generate great back pressure, and that pressure made the Flames unable to string more then one pass together last night.
IMO this game last night was not lost from board battles, it was lost in the neutral zone. The Flames couldn't get through the neutral zone, and the Kings were flying through it.
Issue with team isn't just that they are small...it is that we are small and slow especially with Backlund and Baertschi out of the lineup.

I agree.
It's not just a small team like the Sabres used to be, it's a small, slow team.
Sucks for a guy like Cammalleri, but even as a 40 goal guy, he's not worth 6 million a year because he has no other element to his game.
It was the right call to not sign him to that crazy deal and a bad call (assuming he doesn't pick his game up and Calgary doesn't ship him and some others out) to trade for him.
