LA was the bigger, faster, tougher team and they imposed their will on us. Flames had no answer for the physicality and I made that comment in the first 5 minutes of the game.
Darryl Sutter came in here and embarrassed the Flames with a big tough team that is strong down the middle. Exactly what he preached would win hockey games when he was here.

Personally I thought speed was the bigger issue last night.
Not only are the Flames small we are also quite slow. Carter especially was abusing us with his speed in the neutral zone.
Their speed in the neutral zone allowed them to generate great back pressure, and that pressure made the Flames unable to string more then one pass together last night.
IMO this game last night was not lost from board battles, it was lost in the neutral zone. The Flames couldn't get through the neutral zone, and the Kings were flying through it.
Issue with team isn't just that they are small...it is that we are small and slow especially with Backlund and Baertschi out of the lineup.
