Try working in a grocery store for a few weeks and you'll come to realize just how dumb people can be. Numerous times I'd have some one pointing at the price tag & asking what the price is. Now, I don't think these people were incapable of reading, I think they were trying to process the information they were seeing and with an employee standing right there the question in their head simply came out their mouth.

I had a woman ask me once when I was working as cashier if the meat she was buying was 100% beef, I looked at it expecting hamburger meat, it was a hunk of steak
I had nothing else to do so I sent the bagboy to go ask the meat department as I wasnt sure
