Blaster...I didn't get to respond before the last thread got locked...in which you implied that, by Keith admiring the pass, Sedin was excused for the actions. DISAGREE TOTALLY...a deliberate head shot is a deliberate head shot, and as Keith was NOT moving, Sedin clearly targeted the head.

If the roles were reversed on that given play, Vancouver fans would certainly have beeen outraged, and given your stated desire for vengeance, in the above quote, then the 'Hawks would have been justified to send a goon out to administer the tit for tat justice that is so unfortunately prevalent in the NHL. In the event, Keith took it into his own hands to administer the payback head shot.

Now, I am not excusing Keith, his suspension was deserved, but, I feel that the NHL has let it's players and fans down by having ignored the event that preciptated the whole ugly cycle of retaliation, the Sedin chin shot shoulder in the corner.

So, in this last game, we had Hansen, attempting to catch a puck with his elbow, by thrusting it, from behind, through the head of our best player on the ice at the time...again, given the logic which you espouse in your quote, which equivalent player should the Blackhawks send Bollig to cripple in the next meeting? After all, going after Hansen would NOT be equivalent to taking a top scorer off the ice.

Again, not excusing Keith's actions, but, at least he took personal revenge, and it wasn't some 4th line POS committing the mayhem, as you propose should now occur.
