They would never take on Bouwmeester's 6.8M for next years lower cap.
If Bouwmeester goes anywhere the Flames will be taking back someone else's bad contract (potential buyout).
Philly would basically be forced to dump Briere to make room for Bouwmeester.
Pittsburgh has absolutely no room for Bouwmeester next year other than giving up one of their high paid, high production guys .....
PS the Flames are in salary cap jail next year so I don't think they will be keeping 2-3M of Bouwmeester salary to get rid of him.... |
I tink JayBow has a lot of trade value if the Flames are willing to pay part of his salary. I think the Flames should essentially "sell" cap space for draft picks. If they pay part of his contract so the other team has him at a lesser cap hit and can offord him, they might be willing to pay more for him.
