I think Brodie learns a lot from Bouwmeester and Wideman. If Brodie was anchoring the top pair and best defenseman on the team, he'd be destroyed for life.
The team has to have some balance of youth, experiences and class. Problem with the Flames is they have no youth yet. Maybe in a few years.
Anyone over 30 should be gone now.
But Bouwmeester, he's right on that line.. I would keep him to move the youth forward. I would keep everyone on defense actually, it's the forwards who have failed this team.

I kind of agree... I wouldn't put Brodie on the top pairing. Wideman and maybe Butler or Sarich or someone else. I just think JayBow has so much trade value that you have to consider it. He'll make the team even better by turning into more assets
