Most kids were into metal etc. I was hooked the moment a friend invited me over to listen to this vinyl he picked up in 1982. "The Message".We listened to that over and over countless amounts of times.

It was a different world. Drive to Seattle just to purchase an NWA record because it was banned in Canada. Even allot of places would not stock Public Enemy when they came out.
