Besides, STH and people who otherwise go to games regurarly will get used to it halfway through the first season, and the rest won't have an opinion due rarely going to games.

True, but it's a bit odd that it might bother some and they won't invest as much as they would if it looked more proper.
Anyway, I imagine the Brooklyn Nets ownership is going to be getting some coin from the Islanders staying there. I always figured this is a temporary move until the Islanders can finally get something for their own later on. Perhaps the new owner will be able to do that.
