It's this "win now" mentality that is setting this team back. At some point you need to give your goaltending prospects some serious look and see what they can do at the NHL level. We waited for Kiprusoff's injury before we started doing that.

well, guess what, he sucks. he sucked in the american league this year, and he isnt playing well in the NHL. It made alot of sense since he clearly won the backup role from Karlsson in training camp.
I doubt anyone from the coaching staff to managemnt thinks Irving sucks. They saw some things in his game that he needed to work and sent him back down.
