I had my visit with Vasman today. What would normally have been a very awkward moment of having a dude stare at and fondling your nuts was actually a lot less weird than one would think. He was an awesome guy and we just chatted about the NHL. You could tell he was good at making people feel a lot easier about being there.
As for the procedure itself: The freezing felt like someone snapping an elastic band on the sac. When he explained it, it sounded a lot worse that it ended up being. I feel like I tensed up a lot more and that in itself hurt more than the freezing.
First side went off without a hitch. Other side, apparently he had a tough time doing something and it was uncomfortable for sure. I had taken some prior meds in anticipation of pain and they helped a lot when my buddy and I were having drinks post procedure and his freezing wore off. Yes, we did go for drinks. It wasn't necessarily comfortable, but still not a reason to avoid having a beer with your friend.
Overall, I wouldn't classify it as fun at all but it was a LOT less dramatic as I had anticipated.
Thanks again for all the advice. Especially to those who said not to worry about it and I didn't listen to. I wish I had not worried about it as much as I did. Piece of cake!
