I picked up one of the Ikea "slap chops". Pretty dismal. I should have known better.
From a couple of home / garden type shows:
We have in the past though, purchased a mandolin and potato peeler that were razor sharp. They work well, but the plastic has a cheap, brittle feel to it. It's also terrifying to clean. I think a professional grade mandolin would have been a better choice.
Also, these work really well for storing long extension cords and keeping them organized.
