Wise Gamble, I'm finding it hard finding a better rapper than Shad at this point. I've been studying, following, buying and listening to Hip Hop for just over 13 years now and as far as technically sound rhyme schemes and intricate metaphors/similes go, no one can touch Shad.
In fact, in a general scope, I feel Canadian Hip Hop is at the pinnacle of Hip Hop in its present time. I mean, I have the utmost respect to the founding fathers in the US, but no one can even come close to Shad or D-Sisive right now.
On another topic, k'naan's gone pop with his latest album. There's no going back for him now. If history proves anything, he'll attempt a comeback into the Hip Hop scene by getting Jay-Z, Nas, Kanye, whoever on his album, but by then all respect has been lost.
