Basing my thoughts on expectations (ie. not all players are created and therefore judged equally)
TJ Brodie: A- Been far better as a top 4 D man than I expected. Good at both ends of the ice, great moving the team out our own end.
Dennis Wideman: A- Shown great skills on the PP and offensively, but overall a much smarter player than I expected and much better in his own end that I though
Marc Giordano: D I have high expectations for this guy, but he's been bad all over the ice. Was a beast last night though ont he 5 on 3, hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
Jay Bouwmeester: B He's been playing like the player we all wanted in the offensive zone so far this year, and creating offence. But for his price tag, he should be a very effective top pairing shut down guy as well and he's simply been on the ice for way too many goals against. Might be due to a struggling partner, but want to see him play really well in both ends against top opposition before he gets an A.
Chris Butler: C- Bad start, but is looking a little better on the bottom pair.
Cory Sarich: B- Meeting expectations.
Derek Smith: B- Meeting expectations.
