I agree with this entirely... I feel as If this is the first year we are seeing the fan base start to come to the realization it may be in our interests to trade him... As they talked about him on 960 today it's tough those how he fits. This team isn't successful right now, we can't rely on iginla to save us as he has become a perimeter player. Love the guy, and if he leaves I would love to see him comeback to retire but if he isnt having success defensively and he isn't putting the puck In the net on a regular basis why would we keep ,him?
I think if he were to leave he would find his groove again but the flames keep on spinning the same leadership core and it is not successful. Before he starts to take the blame lets try something new
