I don't think they called up Byron to slot him on the 1st line and the way Hudler has been playing, I have to think his line is the first line. I'll give Bob some credit, those are interesting line combo's but when your lineup is decimated with injuries and your team isn't exactly lighting it up, you got to try something. Some thoughts on the lineup:
Hudler-Tanguay-Cervenka: Splitting up Iggy and Tangs could be more effective as Tanguay will not have the blinders on trying to force passes to Iggy, he has an under-rated shot and should is it more. Also Cervenka could take a few shifts easing into the Center role.
Glencross-Byron-Iginla: Putting a player with Byron's speed paired with 2 rugged players might help spread the defense out. Iggy and Glencross have been crap lately and maybe a demotion will get them going.
Cammy-Stajan-Stempniak: Stajan has probably been our best Center (since Backlund went down). Having 2 shoot-first guys on the wings should at least get a lot of rubber at the goalie setting up some rebound opportunities.
Comeau-Jones-Jackman: Hopefully this line doesn't get too much TOI. I like Jones in the 4th line role, but Comeau is a useless turnover machine and Jackman has proved his career high's 2 seasons were an aberration.
Stars on the 2nd of a back to back playing their backup goalie should be a recipe for a Flames win. Therefore it'll be a 4-1 loss.
