I can't help but wonder if those comments coming from a former teammate in Rhett Warrener will help Iginla to find that next level he has been lacking. I think his effort is actually better this year than it was at the beginning of either of the last two seasons, although it has dropped off over the past few games. His frustration level is likely causing him more problems and negatively affecting his motivation. However, hearing a former teammate, and one that we suspect is well regarded by Iginla, say those words may be something that Iginla needs.
Or, perhaps Iginla just isn't happy with how things are going, but has too comfortable to seek a change in scenery. I think if he were traded this year or signed somewhere else in the off season that he will have a bit of a rejuvenation in his career.
