exactly. If he was good enough then he would have been on the Rangers. If it was only his knee and it's better now than you'd think he'd end up on the Rangers. And if he was only a "stop gap" and would be relegated to be the 13th forward when someone got back, than he really isn't good enough to be on the Rangers.

This is a case of the team not being good but taking the whole "if we get the 8th spot anything can happen" mentality. We're banking too much on "what if's" and not enough on what is.
